The Beat readers identified their most admired companies in six categories: airlines, hotels, car rental companies, TMCs, technology providers and payment systems. Winners were determined based on a reader-poll conducted this summer. Readers voted for suppliers’ policies, management style and service for business clients. Participants were not allowed to vote for their own employers.
The Beat’s readers include travel professionals from corporations, TMCs, airlines, hotels, global distribution systems, technology providers, car rental firms, payment systems, consultants, financial analysts and media. The honor was announced Dec. 7 during The Beat Live event in New York.
“We’ve cherished this award since we received the first recognition in 2009,” said John Snyder, President and CEO at BCD Travel and CEO at BCD Group. “We’re honored that our clients noticed our efforts and voted us Most Admired TMC for the fifth consecutive year. It’s especially meaningful since this recognition comes amid the pandemic, which has brought us and the whole industry unique and difficult challenges.”
The Beat is published by The BTN Group, which also publishes Business Travel News and Travel Procurement magazine and is part of Northstar Travel Group. BCD’s other 2021 recognitions include Bayer’s Igniting Networks Stronger than Ida First Place Award, Forbes’ Best Mid-Sized Employers 2021, EcoVadis Platinum sustainability rating for the second year, TripSource winning a 2021 Gold Stevie® Award for best travel app and the COVID-19 Info Hub winning a Bronze Stevie® Award for most valuable service in the category COVID-19 response.
