Dallas, Texas, offers adventures plenty of options to explore and unwind. It’s the third-largest city in Texas and the ninth largest in the United States. Home to seven professional sports teams, including the Dallas Cowboys (National Football League) and Dallas Mavericks (National Basketball Association), Dallas is a big city with traffic to match.

- Experience the Dallas Farmers Market: If you’re a food lover, the Dallas Farmers Market is a must-visit destination. Covering 26,000 square feet (2,415 square meters), the market hosts a variety of vendors offering fresh produce, artisanal foods, and unique goods. You can taste local delights, purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, and even grab a quick bite from food trucks that often gather in the area. The Dallas Farmers Market is an excellent spot to get a taste of the city’s culinary scene and immerse yourself in its vibrant atmosphere. Shops are open 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. daily.
What’s the best way to get around Dallas, Texas?
Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), the public transportation service, operates daily from about 5 a.m. to midnight. Trains, buses, street cars and trolleys offer cost-conscious ways to get around. We can’t stress this enough – Dallas is big. Research route and schedules in advance.
Rideshare companies Uber and Lyft operate across the city.
