March conversations: Support for International Women’s Day and neurodiversity awareness
International Women’s Day is Friday, March 8. A unique episode observing the day will feature an all-woman panel, with Moscovici; Simone Gray from the BCD marketplace; Carolyn Pearson, CEO of Maiden Voyage, an inclusive travel safety organization; and Hazel Smith, director of supplier relations and one of our DE&I champions. Save the date for special conversations about what inspiration looks like and how to make sure travel programs are optimized for inclusion – from personal safety while traveling, to managing breast feeding on work trips, and what women travelers might encounter based on a local culture or geographic region.
Neurodiverse business travelers may experience trips differently – the crowds, sounds and changes in routine can make even the best-planned work journeys hard to manage. This episode, launching during Neurodiversity Celebration Week, March 18-24, will look at the question: What is neurodiversity? Special guests United Airlines will talk about their work with the Sunflower Lanyard Program, which uses the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower to signal that the wearer may take longer or need extra assistance. We hope this episode sparks discussions about how our industry can make neurodiversity considerations standard practice so more people travel with dignity and ease.
