Lucy, who has worked in Human Resources for nearly 25 years, joined BCD two years ago. Based in London, she manages the local People & Culture team supporting the United Kingdom and Ireland. In her role, she continually works to enhance local benefit packages for current employees and potential talent. Lucy is also a member of BCD’s global council for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Lucy studied Travel & Tourism before beginning her career in investment banking. She previously worked in Hospice Care, Security and Gaming before joining BCD. “BCD has a fantastic culture and really looks after its employees from wellbeing to benefits,” Lucy said. “Working for a great employer means I can better support our company goals and objectives; help find and develop the right talent; and support improvements in our overall operations. I think job seekers, clients and prospects would be surprised at the wide array of jobs available here – from travel consultant to People and Culture to Technology, Research & Development, Information Security and creative work.”
“When the People Awards opened up to include all management this year, I couldn’t resist nominating Lucy,” said Angela Williams, Vice President, Human Resources at BCD. “Lucy has made a real difference to how we function as a team and the range of services we now provide to a very appreciative population of staff and management alike. With her understated manner, she achieves the outcomes we want to have and she gets things done without fuss or drama. To consistently receive the level of positive feedback from those she encounters is testament to her ethical and professional credentials. I love to see Lucy being recognized in these prestigious awards as she is simply outstanding!”
