Streamlining the car rental experience with Avis

Avis understands that travellers’ time is valuable, so they are continually striving to find better ways to enhance their customers’ journeys. Collecting the keys to an Avis rental vehicle has just got even easier thanks to their new state-of-the-art self-service kiosks.

Exclusive to members* of their free loyalty program Avis Preferred, these kiosks have been designed to revolutionize the pick-up process. Members use the Avis app to complete their biometric verification. This means no paperwork and allows the customer to bypass the rental counter.

Shortly before arriving at an Avis station, customers receive a QR code in the Avis app. On scanning the code and entering their date of birth to open the kiosk door, the customer will retrieve their keys from inside, and be on their way… in less than 30 seconds.

Self-service kiosks are available at a growing number of Avis stations across Europe, thereby enabling customers to get to their rental car even faster and more easily.

If customers are not Avis Preferred members, then they can simply visit the Avis website and sign up to their free loyalty program and enjoy a completely automated experience.

*The first time a customer travels as an Avis Preferred member, they’ll need to visit an Avis counter.
