Business travelers spend more per day in Caracas, Venezuela – a whopping US$1,325 – than they do in any other frequently traveled business city, according to Business Travel News’ 2015 Corporate Travel Index. The index drew on BCD Travel client data and analysis by BCD’s consulting arm Advito to rank business destinations according to traveler expense.

- Hong Kong, US$529
- Muscat, Oman, US$523
- Geneva, US$516
No U.S. city ranked among the five priciest, but San Francisco came close with an average per diem of US$509.50.
Business Travel News’ 31st annual Corporate Travel Index is based on actual prices paid in 2014 by BCD corporate clients. In addition, research also came from The BTN Group and the New York University School of Professional Studies.
