Forbes magazine ranked BCD Travel No. 231 on its list of America’s Best 500 Employers 2016—a significant gain from the No. 462 ranking BCD achieved in 2015. BCD ranked above all other travel management companies on Forbes’ list.
“We’re honored to be on Forbes’ Best Employer list once again and thrilled about our jump in ranking,” said BCD President and Chief Executive Officer John Snyder. “We believe such recognition is evidence of the job satisfaction our people find through developing new skills, making a difference for our customers and supporting our communities through corporate social responsibility initiatives. That’s why we strive to create an environment that encourages and enables employees to develop to their fullest potential.”
“Over the last few years, we’ve developed and implemented a very thoughtful, deliberate and calculated strategy around talent management that grows out of BCD’s core values,” said Christian Dahl, senior vice president, Talent Management and Global Human Resources. “Our innovative ‘Confident Self’ initiative combines annual performance reviews with professional development to give employees the support and training needed for them to perform well, feel confident and provide customers the highest levels of service.”
Forbes, a popular U.S. business magazine, based its designation on an independent survey by Statista.com of 30,000 American employees working for U.S. companies and U.S. divisions of international firms with a minimum of 5,000 employees. Employees were contacted anonymously online without the involvement of their employer. Survey respondents were asked how likely they would be to recommend their own employer to someone else. They also were asked how they feel about other employers in their industry.
