BCD Travel has been named the industry’s “Most Admired Travel Management Company” for the fifth time.
The designation is based on a survey of corporate travel professionals conducted by The Beat. The industry news outlet asked its readers which supplier in each of six segments (airline, hotel, car rental, TMC, tech provider, payment system) they most admire for policies, management style and service to business clients.
“We’re honored that our colleagues, peers and clients noticed our efforts and voted us ‘Most Admired,’” said BCD President and CEO John Snyder, who linked the recognition directly to his company’s talent-management efforts. “BCD Travel is successful because we empower our people to provide great service to our clients.”
BCD recently became the first TMC to reach for and achieve accreditation from Investors in People, a globally recognized workplace ratings firm. In addition, BCD’s Christian Dahl was awarded Human Resources Executive of the Year at the 2017 Stevie® Awards—acknowledgement of the company’s progressive talent-management gains. Forbes magazine has listed BCD as a top U.S. employer for several years running.
A great workplace develops great employees who deliver exceptional service to customers, Snyder said. He pointed, as an example, to BCD’s 2017 Supplier Excellence award from global defense contractor Raytheon. The award is given to suppliers for outstanding performance and for contributions to and support of Raytheon’s corporate goals.
“Winning ‘Most Admired TMC’ five times demonstrates that we’re listening to our clients and responding in the right ways—from trip planning and booking solutions to our broad-ranging hotel program, analytics and payment and expense offerings,” Snyder said. “We’re going to keep working hard to provide superior and innovative solutions for corporate business travel around the globe.”
