Travel management company mobile apps once focused only on itinerary management. Today, hotel bookings via platforms like BCD Travel’s TripSource® are the norm. And mobile air bookings soon will follow, reports business travel industry news outlet The Beat.
In the article, which assessed the state of mobile capabilities among TMCs, The Beat confirmed mobile “air booking in TripSource is in development.” BCD Chief Executive Officer John Snyder told The Beat that within a few years, “almost all bookings are going to be mobile or mobile web. We’ll offer both of those through our platform.”
To date, BCD has rolled out hotel booking through TripSource to more than a dozen markets and expects 25 countries to go live by the end of this year.
