Airlines continue to enjoy the benefits of cheaper oil. Lower costs are feeding increased profits and have given airlines the confidence to expand capacity. This increase in supply ensures fares won’t rise in most markets in 2016, according to analysis by Advito, BCD Travel’s consulting arm. But airfares could shift very quickly with a material change in oil prices.
